While bushes are a common occurrence in real life, in Fortnite, they are often rare and can be a life saver in more ways than one. With the Most Wanted event live and in full swing, hiding from opponents in bushes is a good idea. However, for some reason, Epic Games wants players to fall three stories into a Big Bush.
While the task may sound absurd, completing it will reward the players with 16,000 experience points. Given that this challenge can be completed in several different ways, it's best to discuss the possibilities.
A step-by-step guide on how to fall 3 stories into a Big Bush
1) Normal Build Mode method
For those playing in the "OG" mode, the easiest way to complete this Fortnite challenge is to find a Big Bush, collect resources, and build three stories upwards. Four ramps should suffice, or if players want to, they can manually check the drop-distance. Anything over 10 meters is okay.
Once the drop-distance has been confirmed, simply walk off the edge of the platform and fall into the Big Bush below. Be careful not to linger too long that high up, as skilled opponents will make short work of you using snipers. Upon hitting the ground, the challenge will be completed.
2) Zero Build Mode method
Those playing in the Zero Build Mode will have to find a Big Bush adjacent to a structure that's at least 10 meters tall. They can mantle to get on top of the structure, and if needed, take a running jump to land in Big Bush below.
Remember to position well as one wrong move and fall damage will claim a free elimination.
3) Universal method
For players in both modes, an alternative way to complete this challenge is by using the Big Bush Bomb. Although it's not a naturally occurring Big Bush on the island, it still counts as one. Rather than searching high and low for one, players can use the item to create one where they stand.
Once it is acquired, gamers in both modes can simply find a cliff or a tall structure, place the Big Bush below it, and jump down three stories. Those with resources to spare can build structures and climb them to make the challenge go faster.
Will I take fall damage by falling into a Big Bush from more than 3 stories in Fortnite?
No, as seen time and time again in-game and via recorded gameplay, you will not sustain fall damage by falling into a Big Bush from a great height. As long as you fall directly into it, and not on the edge of the Big Bush, fall damage should be mitigated.
However, since there is a risk associated with falling from great heights, it's best to stay grounded or pick up the Aerialist Augment to always have a safe landing. Shockwave Hammer, Party time, and Soaring Sprints Reality Augments are good alternatives as well.
On that note, since this Fortnite challenge is associated with bushes, picking up Reality Augments that benefit from them will come in handy.
