The celebrity chef will no longer film alongside Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix in their hit ITV show Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip

Gino D'Acampo recently shocked fans when he revealed his decision to step down from the hugely popular

Following the news, there were many reports suggesting the celebrity chef was embroiled in a feud with co-hosts Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix.

Appearing on , the Italian star was quick to address the rumours as he revealed the real reason he is stepping back. "I love the boys, we have a great friendship, that is not the problem. As I said in the video it's the contracts," he explained. "Sometimes they get very overcomplicated and the main one was about the dates, trying to get the dates together.

"We tried and got the dates and then the dates got cancelled, then we started with other dates but they got cancelled again. Then I thought you know what? I can't do this anymore this has become too stressful I don't want to do this."

Despite conflicting schedules, Gino hasn't ruled out a return to the popular show. "This year or next year is not going to happen but if the contract gets right, you never know," he added.

Last month, Gino admitted that he wanted to tell everyone the news first-hand to avoid any news reports. On TikTok, he said: "And now the end is here and so I face that final curtain…" Watch his explanation about why he has left the show here…

Elaborating on the challenging issue of contracts, he explained: "Last week I decided not to film any more Gordon, Gino and Fred Road trips. The reason is very simple – nothing to do with Gordon or Fred, the friendship is very strong…

"It’s just because we can't get the dates together and sometimes when we do get the dates together sometimes, they get changed and it causes a lot of problems for me because I have other stuff that I have to do.

"Personal problems as well because when I have to change things with my family it is very complicated and also because of contracts. Because contracts start to become very complicated and very stressful, I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I would rather the friendship than arguments with the contract. So, I have decided not to do it anymore because I want to be friends with the boys for many, many years ahead."
