American musician, best known as the co-founder, bassist, and primary songwriter of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, Nikki Sixx’s is already calling the place home sweet home! Records reveal the veteran Mötley Crüe performer, 63, and longtime wife Courtney have forked over $6.9 million for a stunning spread tucked away on almost an acre in the picturesque hills between Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks, in an unincorporated area known as Lake Sherwood.

Born and raised in San Jose, Calif., Sixx is best known as the co-founder, bassist and primary songwriter of legendary heavy-metal band Mötley Crüe. Currently preparing for a worldwide 2023 tour with the group — which recently sold its entire recorded-music catalog to BMG in a reported $150 million deal — he’s also an author to boot, having just penned “The First 21 – How I Became Nikki Sixx.”

Resting beyond a gated driveway, the stucco and terracotta-roof structure is nestled amid an irregular-shaped corner parcel lushly landscaped with rose bushes and fruit trees, and providing lovely vistas overlooking the Sherwood Country Club and Santa Monica Mountains. Built back in 2001, the main house is fronted by a motorcourt and an attached four-car garage, and includes five bedrooms and six baths in nearly 8,000 square feet of colorfully hued living space on two levels. A detached poolhouse out back has its own kitchenette and bath.

A Juliette balcony tops the ornate front door, which opens into a double-height foyer that flows to formal living and dining rooms, each with a fireplace. From there, a fireside family room sporting French doors spilling out to a covered al fresco dining terrace connects to a casual dining area, which is adjacent to a decidedly dated kitchen outfitted with wood cabinetry, a granite-topped center island, Viking range and butler’s pantry.

There’s also a downstairs office/library that adjoins a decorative powder room, plus an en-suite bedroom and laundry room. Upstairs, the sumptuous master retreat has a sitting area, fireplace, private balcony and dual walk-in closets, as well as a huge bath offering two vanities, a dressing area, jetted tub and glass-encased shower, per Dirt.

Three additional en-suite bedrooms also can be found on the second level. But the undeniable rock star of the show are the sprawling grounds, which host a courtyard bedecked with a fountain and secluded kitchen/bar setup, along with a large pool surrounded by a sundeck, fire-pit, raised spa and the aforementioned poolhouse.

In addition to their newly acquired Lake Sherwood house, the Sixxes maintain a primary residence in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The couple sold a Mediterranean-style mansion in Westlake Village last year for $5.2 million.
