As with many Nineties trends, the claw clip is a divisive one, but seeing Sienna Miller’s up-do hairstyle secured by the humble hair accessory only serves to maximise its 2022 appeal.
Attending The French Open with boyfriend Oli Green, Miller wore her hair casually styled in a twist with a large claw clip, which appeared to have a lavender coloured tortoiseshell pattern. It paired elegantly with her brown tortoiseshell angular sunglasses and navy Lacoste jumper.
Indeed, the formula was her go-to off-court ensemble this month, having worn her hair in the exact same style days before alongside a white version of the crocodile logo jumper (the brand being an official sponsor of The French Open). Both times she styled them with loose jeans.

Until this photo opp, we’d become more familiar with seeing the claw clip’s comeback on TikTok, with countless videos demonstrating ways to wear it (loose, tight, high, low, half-up, side-swept – you name it). But thanks to Miller, the accessory appears to have finally shaken off its ‘Nineties nostalgia loved by Gen Z’ image.
As she serves, it can look summer-weather chic for all. Consider us back on board.

Speaking of divisive trends, it may also be time to rethink the mullet. Yes, the marmite haircut – that's experiencing a resurgence – has been given the seal of approval by Charlize Theron. Debuting a mullet on the red carpet recently, the actress oozed confidence with the cut alongside top-to-toe Dior.
2022 hair trends are anything but predictable.
