When it comes to some of our fav Hollywood celebs, you would never imagine them being fired from the jobs that catapulted them to stardom. Despite being in the limelight, there have been a select few celebs to have been let go from their own shows, record labels, or films. However, what about celebs before becoming...celebs?
Although countless stars are cemented as icons in their own industries, a few were actually sacked from their day jobs prior to breaking out in the spotlight. From actor extraordinaire Liam Neeson to hitmaker Lady Gaga, here are 10 stars who were fired from their day jobs!
10 Howard Stern
Despite Howard Stern being labeled as the king of radio, he wasn't always a leading figure in the world of broadcast. During his time working WNBC radio in New York City, the tell-it-like-it-is radio host, who has been the face of The Howard Stern Show since 1986, was fired by the radio station in 1985, which he had been working at for three years.
"I never lead a dull life," Stern, 31, said yesterday, "but I'm pretty shocked at this one. We just had our highest ratings ever. I guess it's the nature of the beast to get fired," Stern old the Washington Post. Luckily for Howard, his career took off the next year, and he's been racking in millions ever since.
9 Lady Gaga
Before Lady Gaga was the Lady Gaga, which worked an array of jobs during her time in New York City, including being a waitress. While singing was her calling, Gaga didn't always have the easiest come up when it came to being the pop queen she is today.
Prior to releasing The Fame, Lady Gaga was actually fired from her first record label! The firing came about after the label lost patience with Lady Gaga and her creative process, which required the label to hold off on her album for six more months, and they had enough!

Kate Walsh has found immense success as an actress, appearing on hit shows such as Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and of course, her time on the hit Netflix series, Umbrella Academy.
Before she was working under the spotlight, Walsh worked at Burger King, however, she was sacked due to an unruly manager! “The assistant manager didn’t like me!” she has said. The star then moved on over to Dairy Queen, claiming that she "stayed in fast-food royalty.”

Mark Cuban is certainly a name that just about anyone in the world of finance or business knows! The star is best known for owning the Dallas Mavericks, Magnolia Pictures, Landmark Theaters, and is chairman of HDNet.
Well prior to his success, Mark found himself getting fired from his job as a computer salesperson when he forgot to open up shop one morning. Luckily for Mark Cuban, he would go on to be worth a whopping $4.5 billion!
6 Liam Neeson
Well prior to Liam Neeson being one of the biggest names in Hollywood, scoring roles in films such as Taken, The Grey, and Made In Italy, he was actually a school teacher! Neeson's job as a teacher came to an end when he fought a student, however, it was totally out of self-defense.
After a student of his pulled out a knife, Liam had no choice but to get violent and defend himself. Despite it being a warranted defense, Liam Neeson was still fired by the school.

Before becoming one of the biggest and most influential people in fashion and the Editor-In-Chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour was fired from her job prior.
While she has immense experience in the world of journalism and fashion, that didn't stop Anna Wintour from being fired from her job at Harper's Bazaar. Although being fired sucks, Anna took it as a blessing, and even says she recommends everyone get fired at least once!
