The crews on board the Quantum of the Seas immediately started to search for Warwick as they knew about the missing man.
The ship’s crew, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Navy conducted a thorough search on Thursday but were unsuccessful in finding him in the water to locate Tollemache. A nationwide amber alert radio broadcast was also made to inform ships in the areas.
Later, the difficult decision was made after discussing it with his family: suspending the search, according to Coast Guard search and rescue coordinator Kevin Cooper.
The cruise ships operator, Royal Caribbean Cruises, sent their deepest sympathies to his loved ones.
